About Us
Background
Founded in 2008, the Visual Culture Research Center (VCRC) is awarded by the Ministry of Education with the Benchmark Project for the Humanities and Social Science in 2021. It now has more than 20 members from the College of Liberal Arts, the Center for the Humanities Studies, and the College of Health Science and Technology.
Our Mission
To conduct advanced studies in the fields of arts, film, and performance, with a focus on modern art history, neuroaesthetics, Taiwan cinema, film and medium, Taiwan theater and xiqu history, as well as Kunqu Opera studies.
Promotional Services
VCRC actively promotes cooperation projects with the public sectors and related industries. It also endeavors to provide educational services to schools and the public , including hosting lectures and seminars.
